European viewers will see three full-dome films produced by Planetarium Noosphere in Dnipro
26 March
Three full-dome films produced by Planetarium Noosphere have been selected for screening at the Fulldome Festival Brno 2024 in Brno (Czech Republic).
The full-dome films Beyond the Horizon: The Great Space Cleanup, based on the graphic novel by Jan and Joachim Cechersky, Space Weekend: New Home, and Space Cruise, created by Planetarium Noosphere in 2023, were strictly selected by an international jury among 73 full-dome films created by producers from around the world.
"Beyond the Sky: The Great Space Cleanup" is a full-dome film based on the graphic novel by Jan and Joachim Cecherski. Its protagonists - the inhabitants of an asteroid circling between the orbits of Mars and Jupiter, Ki and his dog Ra - are trying to find out where the debris that gradually clutters the asteroid's tiny space comes from in space, and why it is increasing day by day. They will tell you how to deal with the piles of space debris and how to take care of planet Earth for the sake of the future.

"Space Weekend: New Home" is a story about an amazing journey through the solar system in search of the most suitable planet or satellite for colonization. Isaac, a teenager who is fond of astronomy, and Clark, an extremely intelligent cat, embark on a space adventure to find a place that could become a new home for humanity in the future. The friends learn a lot about planets and realize that instead of colonizing other planets, they should first learn to take care of their own.

"Space Cruise" is a fascinating journey through the solar system, during which the audience will visit the main planets and some of their satellites to find out where the movement of the solar disk across the sky is most unusual, where you can admire the aurora borealis, where it rains diamonds, and finally where people can settle in the future.

Fulldome Festival Brno 2024 will take place on June 3-6, 2024. This year, Planetarium Noosphere will participate in this prestigious international event, which brings together producers of full-dome films from all over the world, for the second time. Last year, the Fulldome Festival Brno presented the films Our Space Address and Ukrainian Space, based on paintings by the famous contemporary Ukrainian artist Oleg Shuplyak, which allowed the international audience to get to know the original Ukrainian ideas about the starry sky.
