The Development of the Fulldome Film Industry in Ukraine: The Mission of Planetarium Noosphere
23 December
Planetarium Noosphere is the only planetarium in Ukraine that produces bilingual educational and scientific fulldome films and animated films in Ukrainian and English.
The Video Production Studio of Planetarium Noosphere was established in the summer of 2022. Since then, 7 fulldome films and animated films for audiences of all ages have been produced.
The themes of the fulldome films produced by Planetarium Noosphere include exploring the Solar System, colonizing other planets, sustainable development on Earth and showcasing space-related elements of Ukrainian cultural heritage. Each fulldome film aims to popularize astronomy and natural sciences, raise awareness of environmental challenges, and promote the preservation of cultural values.
The fulldome films produced by Planetarium Noosphere have gained recognition not only among Ukrainian audiences but have also captivated international viewers. They have been screened at the international fulldome film festivals, such as:
- Fulldome Festival Brno (Brno, Czech Republic)
- The Jena FullDome Festival (Jena, Germany)
- Macon Film Festival (Macon, USA)

What about the Universe? Cosmos is immense and it is so easy to get lost in it! There are so many bright and small stars, mysterious nebulae and huge galaxies!
How to distinguish them from each other? How to find out where our planet is?
You need to know our space address for this and then you will never get lost on space tracks!
“Space Weekend: In Search of A New Home”
FDDB | RSA Cosmos

Isaac, a teenager passionate about astronomy, and Clark, a super-intelligent cat, embark on a space adventure to find a place, where people could settle in the future. Two friends will find out a lot about planets, and realize that instead of colonizing other planets, people should learn to take care of Earth.
“Space Cruise”
FDDB | RSA Cosmos
Shall we embark for a space cruise through the Solar System?
Let’s discover all the major planets and some of their moons to find out where the path of the Sun’s disk in the sky is the most unusual, where it is possible to admire aurorae, where it rains diamonds, and finally where people are likely to settle in the future!
“Beyond the Sky – The great space clean-up” based on the graphic story by Jan Ciecierski and Joachim Ciecierski
FDDB | RSA Cosmos
Far away in space, there is a small asteroid between the orbits of the planets Mars and Jupiter. It is a home of two best friends: Qi the alien and Ra the space dog, who enjoy playing space ball, admire the planets and take care of the space apple tree. One night they are woken up by a terrible noise: to their surprise, it is not the usual meteor shower, but a scrap fall! Where do space debris come from? Why there is more and more garbage all around?
Let’s find out the answers to these questions with Qi and Ra, and help them cope with piles of debris by learning to take care of our planet!
“Stars: Looking into the Infinity”
