The International Astronomy and Astrophysics Competition (IAAC) is an educational science competition that enables students from around the world to test their knowledge and skills in astronomy and astrophysics.

Since 2019, the IAAC has brought together a global community of more than 40,000 participants passionate about astronomy and scientific research.
The competition is open to students and is held online in three stages: the Qualification Round in April, the Pre-Final in June, and the Final in July.

Winners receive valuable rewards: telescopes signed by astronaut Frank De Winne and Nobel Prize laureates François Englert, Gerard ’t Hooft, Michel Mayor, and Didier Queloz. Authors of the best submissions in the Qualification Round and Pre-Final will be awarded Participation Certificates. The best submission from each country will receive a Special National Award Certificate.
