The fulldome animated film “Polarissimae: Mysteries of the Pole Star”, produced by Planetarium Noosphere, has been officially selected for the 2026 Macon Film Festival.

The 2026 Macon Film Festival is a unique international event that brings together creators of 2D, 3D, and fulldome films from around the world. Over four days, from August 20 to 23, 2026, screenings will take place in historic theaters in Macon, Georgia, USA. Conceived as a tribute to the rich cultural heritage of the American South, the festival showcases the diversity of contemporary filmmaking, spanning narrative and documentary cinema, animation and cutting-edge computer graphics, tradition and experimentation, short and full-length films, as well as productions created for both conventional cinemas and planetariums.

This year marks the 21st edition of the Macon Film Festival. It will be the second time that fulldome productions by Planetarium Noosphere Dnipro will be presented at the festival. In 2023, the festival screened the fulldome film “Ukrainian Space”, based on the paintings of contemporary Ukrainian artist Oleg Shupliak.

The U.S. premiere of “Polarissimae: Mysteries of the Pole Star” will take place on Saturday, August 22, 2026, at 2:00 p.m., as part of the 2026 Macon Film Festival.
