Ice Worlds

There are so many ice worlds within the Solar System: polar ice caps on Earth and on Mars, icy crusts of Europa and Enceladus, Saturn’s rings, Pluto’s glaciers and “dirty snowballs” of comets speeding along their elongated orbits from the outskirts of the Kuiper belt...

Let’s unveil the mysteries of these ice worlds. Why so many researches are focused on them? What role do glaciers play for the existence of life on our planet? Do snowflakes look the same on Earth and on Mars? How were Saturn’s rings formed? And what can comets tell us about the origins of the Solar System?
