The Solar System: Evolution and Present Time

The Solar System was formed about 4.6 billion years ago around the newborn Sun. There are 8 main planets and their moons, several dwarf planets, asteroids, comets, and centaurs.

Let’s embark on a real-time journey through the Solar System to unveil its origins and evolution.
How were planets formed, and why are they situated in the same plane? Which mysteries of the young Solar System can be unveiled by comets? Why does Uranus orbit the Sun “lying on its side”, and why does Venus spin around its axis clockwise? Why do planets vary in composition? On which planets could life have existed in ancient times, and which areas of the Solar System may become habitable in the future?
