18 November
On November 13-15, 2024, the III Educational and Scientific Readings “Space Ukraine - the Country of the Future” were held, organized by the A.M. Makarov National Center for Aerospace Education of Youth.
The event brought together more than 70 participants from different parts of Ukraine, who presented 24 research papers in four thematic areas:
-History and Future of Space Ukraine, including topics on popularization of the space industry, historical achievements of Ukrainian scientists and projects such as Sea Launch.
-Protected areas of Ukraine, where participants explored natural and technical parks, astro challenges, and unique locations.
-Global issues and Ukraine of the future, including environmental challenges, the role of space technology, and asteroid protection.
-The Philosophy of the Universe, which examined archaeological sites, philosophical aspects of space, and even analyzed scientific inaccuracies in movies.
Planetarium Noosphere became a co-organizer of the Third Educational and Scientific Readings. Senior space guide Yegor Tur acted as a coordinator in the direction of the reading “Global Problems and Ukraine of the Future”, evaluating the participants' research papers on the following topics:
- Research on ways to protect against asteroids (Daria Buzmakova)
- Mobile dosimetric monitoring system (Georgii But)
- Global environmental problems and the role of space technologies in solving them (Sofia Veselova)
- Manifestations and prevention of post-traumatic stress disorder of astronauts (Yezhel Vladyslav)
All participants demonstrated a high level of preparation and presented research papers covering various aspects of astronomy, space history and ecology. Their contribution confirms that the future of space science in Ukraine has strong potential!
In order to give the participants of the event an opportunity to become even more enthusiastic about space and expand their knowledge through modern interactive technologies, Planetarium Noosphere invited all participants to a free space session, during which they could deepen their knowledge during a tour of the exposition area accompanied by a space guide, visit the virtual reality zone, unique Lunar and Mars zones, watch a live travel lecture and a full-dome movie “Secrets of the Invisible Universe” in the Starry Hall.
