Summer premiere 2025 at Planetarium Noosphere
02 June
On June 1, 2025, Planetarium Noosphere premiered its summer program, “The History of the Universe: From Stars to Dnipro”, dedicated to the history of the universe and Dnipro's contribution to space exploration in the past and present.
The summer premiere of “The History of the Universe: From Stars to the Dnipro” includes:
In the updated scientific exhibition Planetarium Noosphere, you can now learn:
The first new program, “Captain Carrot: Forward to the Stars!”, will introduce you to the wonders of the distant universe through the eyes of your favorite character, an inquisitive rabbit. After exploring the solar system, Captain Morokyanko embarks on an interstellar journey aboard his carrot ship.
In this exciting journey, we will learn which stars are the hottest, what constellations look like on other planets, and why some of them have three suns. Together, we will unravel the mystery of the “ghosts” of Jupiter and Saturn, see nebulae that resemble a butterfly, a spider, a rose, and a snail, peer into a black hole, and gaze at the Milky Way galaxy. And on the way home, together with a comet, we will discover the secret of meteor showers.

The second new feature is the thematic program “Evolution of the Universe”, dedicated to the incredible history of space from the Big Bang to modern galaxies. How did the universe come into being and what was there before the stars appeared? Where are planets born and why is Earth unique? How do black holes affect entire galaxies, and what will happen when the Milky Way collides with Andromeda?

In this program, we will embark on a journey through billions of years — from the first stellar cradles to the grandiose collisions of galaxies. We will learn how stars are born from clouds of cosmic gas and dust, how planets form around them, and we will uncover the mystery of the origin of water on Earth. We will explore how the Moon was formed, learn why Io is called the world of volcanoes, and why Europa is called the ice kingdom, which may hide life beneath its surface.
We look forward to seeing you at our space sessions! Please follow the link for the current schedule of space sessions.
The summer premiere of “The History of the Universe: From Stars to the Dnipro” includes:
- Updates to the scientific exhibition;
- The premiere of two themed programs for the whole family;
- New educational games on tablets.
In the updated scientific exhibition Planetarium Noosphere, you can now learn:
- How was the Solar System formed?
- How was the Moon formed?
- How did water get to Earth?
- How and where did life on Earth originate?
- How did life move from water to land?
- What led to the extinction of the dinosaurs?
- Where and when did the first humans appear?
- How did humanity go from cave paintings to space technology?
Thematic programs for true explorers of the universe!
