The winners of the New Horizons of STEM Education project were awarded at Planetarium Noosphere

Today, on April 18, 2023, the participants and winners of the joint project of Planetarium Noosphere and the municipal institution "Center for Professional Development "Educational Trajectory" of the Dnipro City Council - "New Horizons of STEM Education" - were awarded.
The project involved 35 educational institutions and 165 participants, including students in grades 1-11 and teachers of science, art, and technology.
The results of the project in the nominations "Case of STEM activities in the classroom", "Virtual "highlights" of STEM technologies" and "Dreams of space travel" were summarized by a jury that included leading experts in the relevant educational fields and representatives of Planetarium Noosphere, namely
Oksana Salogub, Deputy Director of the Department of Humanitarian Policy at Dnipro City Council;
Tetyana Nikiforova, Director of the municipal institution "Center for Professional Development "Educational Trajectory" of the Dnipro City Council;
Yulia Prybytkova, Project Manager of Planetarium Noosphere.
"This project was a great opportunity for teachers and students to showcase their many talents. A large number of participants took part in the project, and this is proof of the talent of our educators! The scientific art objects presented at the exhibition inspire sincere admiration for the creativity of young artists," said Oksana Salogub.
The program of the event included a tour of the renovated Planetarium Noosphere exposition area with a space guide, awarding of participants and winners with diplomas and space gifts from Planetarium Noosphere in three nominations by the jury members, a live lecture-travel through the starry sky, watching an animated film in the Starry Hall, and free time for independent exploration of the exposition area.
In the first nomination - Case of STEM Activities in the Classroom - 9 participants won, in the second - Virtual Highlights of STEM Technologies - 6 participants, and in the third - Dreams of Space Travel - 36 participants.
"I am glad that this initiative has brought together so many educators and their students from so many educational institutions in Dnipro. So much hard work and imagination was put into each work! We are grateful to everyone who participated," said Tetiana Nikiforova.
Each project participant received an invitation to attend a free space session at Planetarium Noosphere.
"We are proud to have contributed to the implementation of STEM education and the development of students' creative thinking. We believe that knowledge can be acquired in an interesting way, and that is why, in addition to space gifts from Planetarium Noosphere, all project participants received invitations to our space sessions. The entire Planetarium Noosphere team is impressed by your incredible achievements," summarized Yulia Prybytkova.
On April 11, 2023, an exhibition of scientific art objects in the nomination "Dreams of Space Travel" of the New Horizons of STEM Education project, which includes 118 works, opened in the Planetarium Noosphere space. Everyone can visit the exhibition as part of Planetarium Noosphere's space sessions until May 1, 2023.
